CREIT's policy is to conduct its business activities with the highest level of integrity and ethical standards, in addition to complying with all applicable laws. To assist in ensuring this policy is adhered to, a Code of Business Conduct and Ethics is distributed and acknowledged by every employee of CREIT. While the Code cannot cover every issue that may arise, it sets out basic principles and procedures in the event of a conflict or suspected violation.
Under the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, CREIT employees and Trustees have a duty to report any suspected violation of the Code or governmental laws, rules, or regulations, including questionable accounting or auditing matters. Details on reporting any apparent illegal or unethical behaviour is outlined in the Code.
We encourage any interested party who is aware of or suspects an alleged impropriety to submit their concerns via email to ethicsreporting@creit.ca to the attention of the Chair of the Audit Committee. You may also send a letter on an anonymous basis marked "Private and Confidential" to the attention of the Chair of the Audit Committee, 175 Bloor Street East, North Tower, Suite 500, Toronto, Ontario M4W 3R8. All legitimate claims will be investigated on a confidential basis, to the extent permitted by law.
